1. Identify an out-of-area friend or relative and name them as your emergency contact.
2. Create and print a contact phone card online now.
3. Make copies of your new contact phone card for every person in your family to carry at all times.
4. Post emergency phone numbers and your out-of-area contact phone card by your home phone.
5. Teach your children how to call your designated out-of-area contact. Show them how and when to call 911.
