Disasters can happen at any time, even when you’re in your car and possibly away from home!

While a flat tire may not fall into the category of “disaster”, it sure feels like one when it happens to you! Be prepared for day-to-day emergencies like a flat tire as well as a real disaster like an earthquake or severe weather storm. Emergency supplies for your car should include items such as a jack and a spare tire, but also a first aid kit, extra drinking water, a small supply of food a rain poncho and a pair of boots.

Even if an event does not impact you, there may be a fellow traveler who finds themselves in need of your help. Having emergency supplies in your car not only helps you, but may help a fellow driver as well!
